Now Playing: Twelve Angry Jurors
Have you ever been discriminated against because of who you are? Or, have you ever made an unpopular decision (I think we all have at one point or another)? Then this is the show for you!
You will be on the edge of your seat with the unexpected twists and turns. The jurors are faced with a decision concerning whether a nineteen year old man is guilty of stabbing his father (eeeekkkk!!) Guilty or not guilty – you decide.
The cast consists of twelve jurors and a guard. The performers are Kevin Vasquez, Kendra Bingham, Heather Jones, Zoe Davis, Jamie Petronella, Alyssa Cave, Jennifer Martin, Sarah Rubio, Hannah Hocker, Mark Cangemi, Tell Hohman, Johnny Sanchez, and Jared Cone. Supporting the actors are three production assistants: Savanna Sansom, Krystal Collins, and Bettye Reed. These production assistants handle publicity, props, lighting, sound, and stage preparation.
Mr. Austin, the director and theater arts teacher, said “The actors have to maintain concentration and focus for an hour and a half in which they cannot goof off”. He was very complimentary towards the actors for achieving this goal during rehearsal. Mr. Austin is very pleased with the time and dedication that the actors have contributed. He is also very proud of the production assistants who have worked on all three acts and helped with directing.
The play can be seen on Monday, March 29th and Tuesday, March 30th at 7 PM in the gym. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students. The running time is 90 minutes with an intermission, and this play is not considered appropriate for students younger than 7th grade. Please come out for a night of theater provided by your local high school students. The play is Twelve Angry Jurors by Sherman L. Sergel, adapted from the television show by Reginald Rose.
